Joseph G. Vigilante

Joseph (Giuseppe) Vigilante of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 of natural causes.  
He was born in Belmont, Calabria, Italy in 1935.
Joe, as he was affectionately called, is preceded in death by his parents Pasquale and Rosina Vigilante.  He is survived by his wife of over 40 years Sharon (Daugherty); sister, Angela (Albert); daughter, Roseanne (Kelly); granddaughter, Ani; nephew, Jack; niece, Annette (Don); great-niece Giovanna (Robert), and great-nephew Giancarlo (Nina).
Joe was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.  He was known for his perseverance in the face of adversity, open heart and mind, never giving up or giving in, and his loving spirit.  He will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all who knew him.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at the Mosti funeral home, Sunset chapel, Fr. Thomas Nau will officiate and entombment will follow at Mt. Cavalry cemetery.
