Josephine M. Nicholson

Josephine Marie Nicholson, 94, Steubenville died on May 23, 2024 at Lancia’s Villa Vista Nursing Home. She was born August 15,1929 in Steubenville of the late Joseph and Pauline Torcasio Steffanello. Josephine was also preceded in death by her husband James Henry Nicholson, whom she married on January 4, 1950.

Josephine was a 1948 graduate of Steubenville High School. She was a long time member of Holy Family Church where she was in the St. Francis Society and the CWC for many years. Josephine was also very active at the Primetime Senior Center and loved playing cards.

Surviving are one son Joseph (Teresa) Nicholson of Wintersville; two grandchildren, Joseph Nicholson and Dr. Luke Nicholson; cousin John Torcasio. Special nieces and nephews; Matt, Valerie, Hilary, & Jonathan also great niece & nephews; Matthew, Michael, Franko, Carter, Brynn, Trent, Dylan & Nathan. The family would like to acknowledge special friends Jim & Babette Mavromatis.

Private services were held Tuesday and entombment took place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
