Kenneth J. Schmitt

Kenneth J. Schmitt, 66, of Mingo Jct., died Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Trinity West. He was born August 12, 1956 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph and Glenna Staib Schmitt. He is also preceded in death by Gene Hannen.

Kenneth was retired from Wheeling Pitt Steel where he was a Crane Operator for many years. He was a member of the Mingo, Jefferson, GKL Sportsman Clubs and a lifetime member of the Ohio Trappers Association.   

Surviving two brothers John (Martha) Hannen of CA and Karl Schmitt of Mingo Jct.; two sisters Paula (Ernie) Schmitt of WI and Carol Ann (Dan) Bourdon of NC; neice Melissa (Gerald) Rowden; two nephews Jonathan (Michelle) Hannen and Joseph Bourdon; great nieces and nephews Violet, Everett, Maddie and Jameson.

Kenny requested no services but if you were lucky enough to have been his friend you know he was “one of the good guys!”
