Larry Edward King

Larry Edward King, 72, of Steubenville died Friday, January 22, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 24, 1948 in Cumberland, MD to the late Lloyd and Claire Love King. He is also preceded in death by his wife Beckie whom he adored; stepfather Lloyd Acchammer; sisters Vicki Skeens and Helen Spanovich; and a niece, Jonni Lynn Zook.

Larry attended Steubenville High School and was retired from the Sammis Power Plant where he worked for many years. He was an animal lover and a devoted Big Red football fan. a proud Harley owner and an excellent painter. Larry attended the Bob Ross school in Florida and was a Certified Ross Instructor, creating countless beautiful paintings. He leaves behind many friends at the Steubenville Art Association.

He is survived by one daughter Lorri (Quent) Thornton; one grandson Corbin Hilson; sisters Valli King, Alice Humes and Susan (Paul) Wilson; brothers Ron (Evelyn) King, Chris (Dachia) King and Jeff King; stepmother Donna King; brother-in-law Todd (Lorrie) Adams; his bonus grandchildren Austin, Donavin, Quent Jr., Johnnie, Jeremy and Alenah; nephews Bryan, John, Merco, Charlie, Cameron, Cody ,Austin and Severn.  ; nieces Aimee, Debbie, Vikki, Heather, Karla, Maggie, Natalie, Emily and Scarlett and close family Joni Maus; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Remarks and memories to celebrate Larry’s life will be welcome. Per his wishes, Larry will be cremated.
