Lillian Kerr, 84, of Steubenville returned to rest in the arms of Jesus on October 4, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Lillian was the devoted wife of the beloved (late) Norman “Bucky” Kerr and the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Simpson Gillen. Lillian was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Jane Tedreau, Barbara Mencer and Beverly Crewson.
She was born and raised in Steubenville and worked many years at the Jefferson County Courthouse in the office of Clerk of Courts. She was protestant by faith and a long-time member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon.
Lillian was known for her devotion to family and friends, her compassion for others and her smiling Irish eyes. She was the family’s source of strength and support, prayer warrior, confidant, and best friend. Lillian was also famous for her baking, cooking, and sewing creations over many years and her crossword puzzle prowess. She was a woman of deep faith, a natural giver, and a light to everyone she knew.
Surviving are her three children, Kelly Kerr, Kraig (Lori) Kerr, and Heather (Jim Boniey) Karovic along with two grandchildren whom she adored, Jacob Karovic and Jessica Kerr. One brother Robert (Mary Lou) Gillen, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7th, from 10:00 am until the time of services at Noon at Covenant Presbyterian Church followed by burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1443 Belleview Blvd, Steubenville.
