Linda Ledbetter Obituary

Linda Afek Ledbetter (68) of Englewood, Colorado, died June 4, 2020 of natural causes at her home. Born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Paul, Sr. (April 77) and Helen Lacko Afek (February 1980).

Following her graduation from Steubenville Catholic Central High School (1970) Linda worked for many years in the medical field, primarily in administrative positions. She continued her career in Colorado by moving to Steamboat Springs in 1976 and lived in Colorado for most of her life. She loved the outdoors and mountains.

Linda was an avid churchgoer who had a strong faith in the Lord. This faith gave her both confidence and comfort through difficult times. Linda was a “saint” having to help her mother raise her five younger brothers. She could be both tough and loving when dealing with them. Linda had many friends growing up on Labelle and attending Holy Name Cathedral Grade School and Catholic Central High School.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Doug Ledbetter who died unexpectedly January 3, 2020. The oldest of six siblings, she was also preceded by three brothers: Christopher (1963,) Robert (2006), and Paul (2020).

Surviving are two brothers John Afek of Columbus and James Afek of Steubenville; one son Robert Ledbetter and one granddaughter who was the light of her life, both of Englewood, CO; nephews Brian, Greg, and Andy Afek; nieces Jamie Westling and Annalee Afek; and several great nieces and nephews.
