Marie C. Wietfeld

Marie C. Wietfeld of Wintersville, who just celebrated her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully on Monday May 8, 2023 at Sienna Skilled Nursing Home. She was born April 20, 1933 in Charleroi, PA. She is the daughter of the late George and Mary Chacko, Marie is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Henry Wietfeld.

Marie was a devoted mother and homemaker, who loved to travel with her boys anywhere the fish were biting! Marie adored chickadees, knitting, singing in the choir, and always looking her best. Marie loved the Lord and lived out her faith daily. Those who knew her know of her kind heart, her adventurous spirit, and her witty humor.

Maire’s legacy lives on through Forrest (Lori) Wietfeld of Wintersville and Eric (Virginia “Jenny”) Wietfeld of Kodiak, AL., her Grandchildren, Shane (Rachealle), Tyler (Haleigh), and Colton, her step grandchild, Jonathan and two great grandsons, Ole and Rylan. Marie leaves behind two brothers, George, and Joseph (Sandy) Chacko both of Shadyside, OH., as well as many other family and friends, who she loved dearly.

Calling hours are Thursday 12:00 pm until the time of services at 2:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, Pastor Dave Shores, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
