Mario Bonaventura Obituary

Mario Bonaventura, 65, passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 31, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
Mario was born October 23, 1956 in Steubenville and is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph Bonaventura and Elsie Evans Blancato as well as stepfather William P. Blancato.
Mario lived in Sun City, California and worked for Aveanna Healthcare Services as a home health care nurse.
He is survived by his daughter Lauren (Dante) Bonaventura of Canandaigua, NY and his grandogs. Sisters Mary (Michael) Cloutier of Sun City, California and Marla (Joseph) Rockey of Steubenville. Patricia Blancato of Steubenville, William Blancato and Robert Blancato of Texas. He leaves behind many niece's and nephew's as well as his lifelong friends David Barnes of Sun City and Robert Welling of Steubenville.
He will be deeply missed by Mark Wong of Kaneohe, Hawaii and the family pets Bubby and Munchies and birds Kiwi and Ananna.
Mario was a football fan of his beloved Steubenville Big Red, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mario was an avid chess player, loved drive in movies and good Italian food.
He had a heart of gold and a ready smile, Mario will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Friday at 11:30 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
