Mark Tiberio Obituary

Mark Tiberio, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away from natural causes on February 17, 2025, at Trinity West ER. Born on May 12, 1957, in Steubenville, Mark's journey through life was marked by his passion and a unique sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him.

He is the son of the late Anthony and Mary Tribuianna Tiberio. Also preceding him in death are his infant sister; his brother-in-law, Michael J. Smoljanovich; his mother-in-law, Doris “Eileen” Boniey; and his beloved canine companion, Ginger.

Mark was a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1975. His work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his long-standing career at Weirton Steel & Arcelor Mittal, where he was a proud member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Mark was also an active member of the Polish Athletic Club and the Garibaldi Club, where his presence will be greatly missed.

Mark treasured the bonds he shared with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Boniey Tiberio; his children, Danielle (Chris) Conlon of Toronto, Dr. Dana (Joseph) Lounder of Weirton, and Mark (Katie) Tiberio of Wintersville; and his adoring grandchildren, Scarlet & Domenic Lounder, Marco Tiberio, and the soon-to-be-born Cecelia Conlon. Mark's legacy continues through his brother, Anthony (Jeanne) Tiberio of Wintersville; his sisters, Laurette Smoljanovich of Steubenville and Marilyn (Rick) Woodruff of Kansas City, MO; his aunt, Dora Tiberio Bakich of Weirton; his brother-in-law, James (Heather) Boniey of Follansbee; his sister-in-law, Margaret Ann (Mark) Boyce of Indian Lake; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mark's love for his faithful canine friends, Cooper and Auggie, was indicative of his caring and generous nature. His ability to make others laugh, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his unbridled enthusiasm for life itself will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
