Marlene C. Miller

Marlene C. Miller, 84, of Steubenville died Friday, June 9, 2022 at her home. She was born June 8, 1938 in Weirton. She is the daughter of the late John and Rita Kugelmire Virant. Marlene is also preceded in death by one son Daryl Miller.

Both Marlene and Darrell were owner and operators of the former Miller Grocery and Hardware Store. She was also a member of Pleasant Hill Church Women’s Association. Marlene enjoyed decorating the church for different holidays. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Marlene served in the U.S. Air Force where she was a logistics specialist.

Surviving are her husband Darrell, whom she marred June 29, 1958; three daughters Susan Camille Miller of Steubenville, Cynthia Ann (Darren) Scott of Lynchburg, VA and Julia Kathleen Miller of Steubenville; one foster daughter Susie (Keith) Shook of Toronto; two sisters Rosalee Moldovn of Alabama and Jean (William) Terry of Danville, VA; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way.

Private services were held Wednesday. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
