Martha E. Borsch

Martha E. Borsch, 96, of Steubenville died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born August 10, 1927 in Follansbee, WV. She is the daughter of the late William and Jessie Cheffey Cooper. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Borsch; six sisters: Kathryn Isler, Bella Lonetta, Edna King, Dorothy Fisher, Wilma Jean Esposito and Irene Bowman; sons-in-law, Richard L. Brockway and James F. Haynes; grandson, Michael J. Swick; and great grandson, Reed E. Haynes.

Martha was a homemaker, an avid bingo and casino player and loved board games.

Surviving are one son, George (Deborah) Borsch of Lebanon, OH; three daughters, Janis (Franco) Di Venanzo of Colliers, WV; Cyndy Haynes of Wintersville, OH; and Tammy (Rick) Cope of Ocala, FL; one brother, William (Bobbie) Cooper of Follansbee, WV; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 1 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. William Cooper and John Mark Cooper will officiate. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
