Marvin C. Gosseye

Marvin C. Gosseye, age 91, of Steubenville died of a brief illness on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at Valley Hospice. He was born on September 27th, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Elbert S. and Teresa M. Grandinetti Gosseye. Also preceding him in death are his wife of 52 years, Gloria Rosta Gosseye and grandson Joey Young.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Ginny L. Young, grandson Sean A. Young, and son-in-law Donald A. Young, and numerous extended family.

Marvin was a retired supervisor of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, BOF Department, where he worked for 37 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving as a Navy Hospital Corpsman with the 1st and 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of the American Legion Post 33, Korean War Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Big Red Booster Club, and a member of the Hustling 8 that built the first message board at Harding Stadium.

Marvin requested no visitation and a private service for the remaining family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Steubenville High School football program.
