Mary A. Manfresca

Mary A. Manfresca, 91, of Steubenville, loving wife, mother and grandmother died February 9, 2025, at Valley Hospice, Steubenville. She was born February 20, 1933, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Pietro and Maddalena Giannetti Giannamore, Mary is also preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent and Michael "Skip" Giannamore and three infant brothers, three sisters, Norma Mascio, Elvira Perrone and her twin Anna DiAngelo.

Surviving are her husband, Charles J. Manfresca whom she married June 7, 1958, three sons Dr. Charles (Andrea) of Columbus, Michael (Wendy) of Steubenville, Mark (Pam) of Cincinnati and one daughter Cheryl White of Altamonte Springs, Florida; one brother, Msgr. Anthony Giannamore of Sun City, FL.; five grandchildren, whom she adored, Emily and Michael James Manfresca, Michael and Maxwell White and Ava Manfresca.

Mary was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club, and the Italian American Culture Club. She worked at the former Hub Department Store, JC Penney and Holy Rosary Catholic Church Rectory for over 30 years and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1951. Mary was the perfect example of what a loving wife, grandmother, and friend would be but especially the epitome of what a mother is. Her devotion to her faith and dedication to her family will leave a lasting impact on those who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett, celebrant. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
