Mary A. Morelli

Mary A. Morelli, 93, of Steubenville died peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Lancia Villa Vista.  She was born August 29, 1931 in Mingo Junction. Mary is the daughter of the late Patrick and Theresa (Kakascik) O’Malley. She is also preceded in death by husband Clyde A. Morelli, her brother Patrick O’Malley, and infant brother John.

Mary was a very devoted, loving and wonderful wife, mother and sister. She was a sweet, kind and generous person, with a beautiful smile, who was always willing to help her family and friends.  She was a great cook and homemaker, and loved dancing, cheering on favorite teams with her husband (who was an avid sports fan) and spending time with her family and friends. Mary and her beloved husband Clyde were members of the Fun Seekers and traveled to many exciting places with their friends. She was a graduate of the Catholic Central High School class of 1949. In her earlier years she worked for Western and Southern Life Insurance Company and with her husband's company. She was a member of St Pius X and the Triumph of the Cross Parishes and also served as a Eucharistic Minister.  For those who knew and loved her, her dedication to faith and family will leave a lasting impression.

Surviving are her one son Clyde L. (Robin) Morelli of Wheeling, WV;  one daughter Marlene (Frank) Robbins of Belchertown, MA and her two sisters, Theresa (O’Malley) Hamrock and Ruth (O’Malley) Townsend of Mingo Junction, Ohio.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 3-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate the mass.  Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
