Mary Myers Obituary

Mary Ellen Myers, 80, of Unionport died Sunday, November 1 at her home. She was born May 7, 1940 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Marie Ruksha Kenny. Also preceding her in death is one infant grandson Nicholas Slabaugh.

Mary Ellen was a homemaker and an LPN at the former Ohio Valley Hospital. She also loved to read, spend time with grandchildren, and travel. Mary Ellen was Catholic by faith.

Surviving are her husband John Myers, whom she married June 29, 1963; one son Lee (Donna) Myers of Durham, NC; two daughters Melissa Myers of Unionport and Susan (Dale) Slabaugh of Grove City, OH; three brothers Charles Kenny, Jr. of Wintersville, John (Marlene) Kenny of Philadelphia, PA and Paul (Kathy) Kenny of Loveland, OH; one sister Nancy Kenny of Steubenville; four grandchildren Levi Bonecutter, Matthew & Gabrielle Myers and Jenna Slabaugh, along with many nieces and nephews.

Private services were held today and burial took place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family invites you to a Celebration of Life that will be held Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 1:00pm-4:00pm, at the Wayne Township Community Center, County Road 39, also known as the Old Unionport School.
