Mary Olton, 98, of Steubenville died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Gables Care Center. She was born May 19, 1922 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Casimir and Slyvia Zabik Tluchowski. She is also preceded in death by her husband Frank Olton; three brothers Frank, Thomas, George and one sister Anna.
Mary worked at Zinks Furniture, Pennsylvania Railroad and Franciscan University’s Cafeteria. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and was a current member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Mary’s family would like to thank Dr. Steve Kuruc and the staff at Gables Care Center for the wonderful care of their mother over the years.
Surviving are two sons Frank Olton of Yorkville and Michael Olton of Steubenville; one daughter Joan (Thomas) Dohnal of Wintersville; one brother Casimir (Lorraine) Tluchowski of Weirton; one sister Agnes (Joe) Kostecki of Weirton, two sisters-in-law Gloria Tluchowski and Marie Tluchowski; three grandchildren David (Annie) Dohnal, Megan (Chris) Ley and Eric (Valerie) Olton; three great grandchildren Isabella, Benjamin and Hannah.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fr. Bradley Greer will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
