Mary C. Pasquarella

Mary C. Pasquarella, 72, of Steubenville, died Saturday January 18, 2025 at Valley Hospice surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1952 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Kelly Nation. Mary is also preceded in death by her brother, John Nation, and nephew, Michael Ziarko.

Mary was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church, was a homemaker, and a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1970. Surviving are her husband Rocco whom she married May 26, 1973, two brothers, Frank and Charles Nation and one sister, Peggy (Paul) Ziarko, all of Steubenville. Also many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Dr. Jasbir Makar and his staff. He is not just a doctor but a friend and advisor, to Dr. Karpurapu and all the staff at the Weirton Cancer Center, and to Valley Hospice for taking excellent care of Mary, can’t say enough about them.

Calling hours are Tuesday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:30 am Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
