Mary L. Seminara

Mary L. Seminara, 99, of Steubenville died Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Sienna Skilled Nursing. She was born January 11, 1924 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Natalia Popko Stasiulewicz. Also preceding her in death are five brothers Alex, Frank, Bill, Chester and Eugene; three sisters Josephine Chlebowicz , Rose Brooks and Emily Zwierzewicz.

Mary will be mostly remembered for her many years as a hostess at Bob Evans where she loved greeting and seeing people everyday. She also was retired from St. John Hospital cafeteria. Mary was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Surviving are one son Steven (Annette) Seminara of Wintersville; one daughter Gloria Beatty of Wintersville; one brother Albert Stasiulewicz; five grandchildren Shawn (Alyssa) Beatty, Shannon Beatty, Josh (Tina) Seminara, Jacob (Brittany, M.D.) Seminara and Jordan Seminara; ten great grandchildren.

Mary’s family will always remember her for her spaghetti dinners, classic butternut cakes and her raisin cookie.

The family would like to thank the staff and management of Dr. Nandra’s office, Trinity West 6th Floor and Sienna Skilled Nursing.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fr. Tim Huffman will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
