Mia Stubbs Obituary

With profound sorrow, the family announces the passing of Mia Annette Stubbs, a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, adored sister, and faithful friend, on May 7, 2024. Born to Stephen Zamana and Francesca Pignalitti Zamana on April 24, 1988, Mia was a beacon of love and strength, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Mia is survived by her husband, Gary Stubbs II, whom she married July 8, 2017. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising two wonderful children, Quinn Frances Stubbs and Gary Stubbs III. There are no words that could come close to describing the immeasurable love and unwavering dedication that Mia had for her husband and her children. She is also survived by her sisters, Angela (Fred) Younce of Steubenville, and Julie (Michael) Conlon of Toronto. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Norah and Jacob Younce, and Cruz and Harper Conlon. Mia was also a cherished niece to Mary Kay and Jim Sweeney, beloved cousin to Jamie (Jeff) Proya, and treasured daughter-in-law to Ruby Stubbs, all of Steubenville.

Mia's departure leaves a void in the hearts of countless additional relatives and friends who loved her dearly. A proud graduate of Catholic Central High School in 2006 and Walsh University in 2011, Mia dedicated her career to early childhood education. As a preschool teacher in the Buckeye Local and Steubenville City school districts, she touched the lives of many young children, instilling in them a love for learning and fostering a sense of curiosity that will carry on her legacy.

Mia was a woman of extraordinary strength, kindness, and compassion. Her smile could light up a room, and a simple conversation with Mia would fill your heart and soul. She taught us the importance of family, love, and the joy of simple pleasures. To know Mia was to know love, and her life, though short, was rich with moments that testify to her loving spirit and generous heart. As we mourn the loss of Mia, we also celebrate her life and the love she shared with us all. While she will be greatly missed, Mia will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her soul find eternal peace and may her love continue to inspire us all.
