Michael E. Allietta

Michael E. Allietta, 60, of Wintersville, passed away Monday, May 17 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family, who he loved more than anything. Michael was born on February 26, 1961 in Steubenville. He is the son of Joseph and Carmela (Pullano) Allietta.

Michael was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and their dogs. Over the years, he took numerous family vacations filled with adventures, laughs, and love. Michael loved starting out every morning with his buddies at Rocky Road Gym. He recently retired from American Airlines after 31 years with the company.

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years whom he married on October 3, 1986, Tammy (Martin) of Wintersville; children, Shawna and Christopher; parents, Joe and Carmela; brothers, Mark (Lillian) and Matthew (Mary); three nephews, and a niece; his in laws Gene and Ella Ruth Martin; Kimberly (Raymond) Mumaw; nephews and a niece.

Calling hours will be Friday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Saturday at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate. Burial will be private and at a later date. A vigil service will be Friday at 3 pm.
