Mildred Penna

Mildred Penna, 99, of Steubenville died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Country Club Manor. She was born January 23, 1923 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Chmielewski Zlotkowski.  She is also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Penna; five brothers Anthony, Clem, John, Sylvester and Regis Mieczkowski; three sisters  Mary Kolesza, Sister M. Germaine and Helen Moziejko.

Mildred was a homemaker, was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, it’s CWC and a current member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons Joseph A. Penna of Sun City Center, FL, Raymond (Marlene) Penna of Wintersville and James Penna of Steubenville; two daughters Janet Penna of Redondo Beach, CA and Elaine Penna of Wheatland, CA; five grandchildren Karen Penna, Cheryl (Cooper) Kunath, Ronnie Cline, Joey Flaten and Christina (Jeremy) Wismer; two great grandchildren Wren and Wells Wismer.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Thursday at 10 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
