Nancy M. Honse

Nancy Marie Honse passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born in Berwick, PA on August 10, 1933. Preceding her in death are her husband and life partner, James Honse and her parents, Marion Harpster and Stanley Laubaugh.

She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Honse (the late Chuck Heastings) of Steubenville, Patricia Honse Bowers of Steubenville, and Lori Fisher (Kevin Fisher) of Follansbee, WV, her two granddaughters, Brandi Marie Barker (Cory Barker) of Steubenville, and Carlie Marie Fisher (Christopher Estrada) of Wellsburg, WV, two step-siblings, Sarah Enslow and Marc Laubaugh of Portland, OR, and six great grandchildren, Sadie, Sophia, Skyla, Laney, Matt, and Zack.

Nancy was a devoted mother and wife, a beloved grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all who knew her.

Many knew her from working at Mr. Wiggs or J&J Texaco Gas Station, which she ran with her husband. She was then a sales associate at Sears for 15 years before retiring in 1998.

She spent many years serving her community as a member of the Wintersville Methodist Church and the Wintersville Woman’s Club.

Nancy was known for her style and love of shopping, socializing, hosting holiday celebrations at her home, and devotion to her family, who she loved so dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 8th from 3:00-6:00 PM at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9th at the funeral home at 10:00 AM led by Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen, Jr. presiding. Interment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
