Nora Miravalle Thomas

Nora Miravalle Thomas, 94, of Hopedale died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at her home. She was born February 28, 1925 in San Francisco, CA. She is the daughter of the late Isidoro and Luigia Dezzana Miravalle. Also preceding her in death are her first husband John Stone; her second husband, Arthur Thomas; and her daughter, Jeanne Louise.  

Nora was the Executive Secretary for the Postmaster of San Francisco, and Store Manager of Sherman Clay Music in San Francisco, where she chose records to send to the troops during World War II.  Most of all, she was an exceptionally dedicated mother to  her children; grandmother to her grandchildren, and great grandmother to her great grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons Deacon Mark Miravalle of Hopedale and Lawrence Gianni of Chatsworth, CA; ten grandchildren, Jeannie, Angela, John Mark, Michael, Maria, Mariana, Joseph, Annaleah, Bernadette, Philumena, and six great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church (meet at the church), Msgr. John C. Kolesar will celebrate. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery. A rosary service will begin Sunday at 6 pm followed by a vigil service at 6:30 pm.
