Patrick B. Porter

Patrick B. Porter passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born July 26, 1940 in Steubenville, to the late John Porter Sr. and Mary “Pearl” Porter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers John (Ruth) Porter, Robert “Butch” (Patricia); sisters Jacqueline Porter, and Marcia (Rick) McDonald.

Pat was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Wintersville and a 1958 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. He was a past president of the Blessed Sacrament Parish Council and Men’s Club. He worked on the annual Pierogi project and played on the church bocce team. He was actively involved in the formation of the local Separated, Divorced, and Remarried Catholics group. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. He also loved to cruise and travel with friends. Pat was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked for 35 years.

Pat is survived by his companion Shirley Lamantia and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Thursday, March 13, from 10 am until the time of the funeral mass at 12 pm. Internment will be at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate.
