Obituary for his relatives and friends who mourn his loss. On March 27th Pat left this world and family on earth to join his Family and Friends in Heaven. He was 70 years old, and a Catholic by faith. Patsy was born on May 9th 1951 son of the Late Patsy J. Sr. And Hilda L (Dellefate) Forte in Steubenville Ohio. He was a Member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Steubenville and a 1969 Graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central. At Central Pat excelled in Football, and the shot put and discus in Track. After Graduation Pat was offered a Full Football Scholarship under Coach Fran Cursi at The University of Tampa in Florida. After his first year Pat moved back home and started summer classes at West Liberty State College while working a summer position at Weirton Steel, After a few months Pat decided to follow in his Dad's footsteps and decided to take a full-time position at Weirton Steel, where he would work for over 25 years prior to his retirement. Pat like his Dad, was a very hard worker and never turned down overtime or call outs on his days off. While working in the Strip Steel Pat also Coached St. Aquinas football for two years finishing with a 10-2-4 record and tying for the Parochial league championship, he went on to spend one year coaching under Tom Korab at Steubenville Catholic Central. He gave up coaching to work and raise a family. Patsy was an avid Big Red, WVU, Ohio State, Pirate and Steeler fan. In his free time he enjoyed Bowling in Leagues (also like our Dad) at Steel Valley lanes in Weirton and All American Lanes in Steubenville. He also bowled in several Tournaments in Ohio, Wv, Pennsylvania and Illinois. He Played Softball for H&H in Wellsburg and The PAC along with St. Stan's in Steubenville. He also played flag Football with his two brothers for Bauman's in Steubenville as well. Years later He enjoyed golf and played in several Tournaments and Golf Leagues at Cadiz Country Club and Spring Hills Golf courses where he had memberships for several years, He also played and won several Tournaments for Weirton Steel and the PAC and once a year down in Morgantown WV. He reached the top of his game and his efforts were rewarded with a hole in one on November 23rd 2003 on hole #13. Patsy was also a member of The PAC in Steubenville and was recognized for his Membership of 52 years. He enjoyed coffee at the Spot bar in the morning and going to Wheeling Island with his brother AJ. to play slots and they would enjoy dinners there as well, also going to several places together for breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. After our Dad passed away in 1986, with Pat being the oldest he moved our Mother in with him and took care of her until she passed in 1992. Pat always showed Love to his parents, relatives, brother's, kids and friends. He was also preceded in Death by his Maternal Grandparents Luigi and Maria (Farnelli) Dellefate and his Paternal Grandparents Salvatore and Rose M (Battifarano) Forte. His Daughter Rosie, brother Samuel Paul Forte, and His (Aunt )Isabelle (Forte) Ferrelli and her Husband (Uncle )Joe Ferrelli along with many other Aunts, Uncle's and Cousins. He is survived by his (baby brother) as Pat always introduced him Anthony (AJ) Forte of Wellsburg WV. His Son Patsy D Forte, three Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. A Nephew and Niece and one Grand Nephew. Also survived by His wife Vicki and her sons and two Grandkids. Along with several Cousins, Della, Mary Jo and Vince Rinaldi, The Ciaccis, Forte's and Dellefates. He was also very fond of Anthony (Tony) Rinaldi of Cleveland and many Great Friends as we all will miss him immensely. They will be a Funeral/ Memorial Mass celebrated by Father Nau on April 30th (our Dad's Anniversary) at 1:00pm at Triumph of The Cross located on Rosemont Ave Steubenville Ohio for his relatives and friends and a luncheon will be provided after the service at The Hellenic Hall downstairs of the Greek church on South 4th Street Steubenville Ohio.
