R. Mieczkowski Obituary

Rose Charmaine Mieczkowski, born November 18, 1945, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of the late Charles Elliott and Helen (Steve) Capan. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Gary, Gilbert “Gibby”, Charles “Big Jr.” Elliott; sisters Martha “Sis”  Everhart, and Theresa Elliott.

Charmaine was catholic by faith and retired from Trinity Medical Center East. She was an avid bowler until May of this year. In her younger days she was known to play softball, volleyball and racquetball. Card games of 500 Rum and cornhole, with her son in laws, were her most recent competitive activities. (losing was NOT her thing)

As competitive as she was nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Henry, whom she married November 12, 1968; one son, James “Jimmy” (Lee Teeter), and daughters, Lori (Craig) Mason, Tracy (Steve) Garay, and Melissa Mieczkowski. Her grandchildren; Ryan (Gelsey) Mieczkowski, Jessica (Corey) Voight, Kristi Teeter, Kayla Mieczkowski, Caden and Holden Mason, Dominic (Angela) Garay, Alyssa and Thomas Wilson. Great-grandchildren; Ronan, twins Andrew and Allison Voight, Charlotte and Penelope Garay and Malachi Wilson. Also surviving, her brothers Francis “Buzz” (Shirley) and John (Sammy) Elliott; sisters Mary (Dave Stas) McCoy and Susan Plack as well as her friend and sister-in-law Sheila Peach.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 9am until 10am at Holy Family Church, Steubenville, at which time a funeral Mass will be held at 10 am. Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s Hospital.

We will miss our mom and grandma so very much!

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
