Randolph (Randy) E. Hague, 78, of Mingo Junction, passed away at home and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Isabelle (Eberhardt) Hague, of Mingo Junction, and his in-laws Joseph and Alice (Elsie)(Oleksy) Kaczmarek, of Steubenville.
Randy is survived by his wife Eileen (Kaczmarek) Hague, whom he married on September 12, 1970. He is also survived by his son Jim Hague; son Dan (Amy) Hague; daughter Joleen (Eric) Polk; grandsons Daniel, Frank, Dalton, Toby and Colton Hague, and Ty and Bray Polk; granddaughter Cameran Jackson (Joey Gabrielli) and great grandson Lucca Gabrielli. He is also survived by his sister Pamela (Hague) Pietro of Mingo Junction; his brother-in-law Joe (Bea) Kaczmarek of Newport, KY; his sister-in-law Kathy (Dan) Kaczmarek Manack of Plano, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Randy retired from RG Steel, formerly Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, with 46 years of service. He served 3 years in the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard and as a storekeeper. He treasured his “O” gauge model trains and was a member of the local “Ornry” train group and the TCA. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting for most of his life with his children, other relatives and friends. He was a proud supporter of Steubenville Big Red and an animal lover, especially appreciating the companionship of his cats. He liked watching TV shows and movies, particularly John Wayne westerns and the Three Stooges, and was a fan of good music, constantly listening to the oldies stations. You could always find him in the mornings at PeeDee’s in Steubenville enjoying coffee, breakfast and the company of friends and the owners, Diane and Preston. Most of all, Randy loved his family and friends and will forever be missed.
Randy was a Christian. He believed in Jesus. His wishes were to be cremated, with no services observed. His ashes are to be given to his children who will distribute them at a later time.
We wish to thank the staff of Valley Hospice, especially nurse Sandy, for all they did for us taking care of Randy’s many needs and making him comfortable.
We would also like to thank Mosti Funeral Home for taking care of Randy’s final arrangements.
