Ray Gambill

Ray Gambill Jr., 72, of Steubenville died Sunday, March 3, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian. He was born February 3, 1952 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Ernest Ray Sr. and Elizabeth Stintzi Gambill. He is also preceded in death by three sisters Jewel Moody, Marlene Hood and Doris Virtue.

Ray worked at Wheeling Pitt Steel as the Inspector of the cold strip and then retired as a Lab Tech in the Metallurgical Lab. He was an avid outdoors man and was a member of the Jefferson County Sportsman Association. Ray was a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1970.

Surviving are two sisters Karen Gambill of Steubenville and Flo Giannamore of Los Angeles.

Visitation will be held Friday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
