Richard Alan Letcher

Richard Alan Letcher, 60, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born in Steubenville, the son of Eugene and Catherine Letcher. He graduated from Wintersville High School in 1981 and chose to call Steubenville his home for most of his life.  Rick will be remembered for his quick wit, his sense of humor and his cheerful smile. He never met a stranger and befriended many throughout his life. As an organ donor, Rick’s final deed was to give the gift of sight to someone in need.  

Rick is survived by his brother Bob Letcher and his sisters Peg (Mark) Bainbridge, Patty Payton, Jean (Fred) Cesario; nephew Bryan (Lindsay) Hawkins; nieces Jessica (Chris) Stiel, Catherine (Michel) Waelchli, Erin (Zach) Sunderland, Hayley Cesario, and Krista Letcher as well as several great nephews and nieces.  He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers Mark Letcher and Tom Letcher, sister-in-law Teresa Lemaster, and brother-in-law Joel Payton.

Per Rick’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Rick will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
