Robert E. Slivka

Robert E. Slivka, 89, of Steubenville passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center surrounded by family. Bob was born April 17, 1935 in Steubenville to the late Julie & George Slivka. He is also preceded in death by his wife Betsy Kough Slivka, sister Marge Whirlow and one great granddaughter. 

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force in the SAC on bases in Colorado & South Dakota. He taught roller skating dance classes and competed in numerous competitions. Robert was a long time Steubenville Big Red sports fan, he played basketball and baseball at Big Red. He retired after 37 years as a Letter Carrier for the USPS, then from Sunset BP.

Surviving are his sons Ronald of Steubenville and David (Tammy) of Brilliant; daughter in law Kim Slivka of Wintersville; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Robert will be cremated with no services being held at this time.
