Robert P. Werkin

Robert P. Werkin, 87, of Mingo Jct. died Friday, August 29, 2025 at Valley Hospice. He was born September 16, 1937 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Paul and Erla Warrick Werkin. Robert is also preceded in death by his son Michael Werkin and sister Marilyn Bowers.

Robert was retired from Weirton Steel where he was a roller for many years. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Mingo Knights of Columbus Council #4361. Robert loved spending some of his time playing golf and bocce. He was also an avid outdoorsman who liked fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife Diana Jurasko Werkin; three sons Bob (Laureen), Tim (Andrea) and Scott (Sherry); sister Janice McCarthy; grandchildren Jessica, Erik, Jacob, Brandon, Jason, Brittany, Sarah and ten great grandchildren.   

Friends are invited to a funeral liturgy with Mass, Wednesday, September 3, 10:30 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
