Robert Whitaker Obituary

Robert Francis Whitaker, 71,  of Wintersville, entered into rest with his Lord & Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born on July 13, 1952, in Steubenville, to the late Francis & Anna Mary Whitaker. He is also preceded in death by the love of his life & wife, Sally Belle Whitaker (Merry). Bob thrived in a life lived as a respected simple man. The simplicity of his life came from his naturally humble ways. To all who surrounded Robert, the essence of his genuine soul radiated with honesty, generosity, gratefulness & thoughtfulness to name a few. Robert was blessed to have found his one & only true love at an early age. Together, Robert & Sally worked tirelessly building a family, a home & a successful electrical contracting business, OVECO IND. Robert was never far from home or family as that was where his greatest enjoyment came. Memories will linger of him tinkering around his home & woods, watching the Green Bay Packers, golfing with his sons, riding his quad, enjoying his corvettes, or simply hanging out on the front porch with his Love, Sally, his pups & his neighbors. Robert graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 1970 and Dean Tech. Pittsburgh with a Degree in Electrical Studies.

He is survived by his Sons, Patrick Whitaker (Danielle Sheets), Timothy Whitaker (Maureen Kaufman), his Daughter Brandi Whitaker (Casmir Smogor), His Grandchildren, Dylan Whitaker, Kaitlyn Mazur (Chris Mazur), Hunter Smogor & Casmir Smogor, His Great Grandson, Carter Mazar and His several Nieces & Nephews.
