Ronald H. Baker, 80, of Steubenville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his home. He was born June 20, 1941 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Robert H. Baker and Lura Frances Lowe. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Angie (Ragusa), a sister, Joyce Dalbenzio, a stepsister, Sylvia Morrow, a stepbrother, Daniel Harper, and his stepmother, AnnaBelle Baker.
Ronald graduated from Jefferson Union High School and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1962. Ron retired from Nickles Bakery after 35 years of service as a driver salesman. He was a member of the American Legion Argonne Post 33 and the Big Red Booster Club, where he served as President from 1973-1974. He was an avid golfer and a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the “Big Red” of Steubenville High School.
He is survived by his son, Ron (Andrea) of New Albany, Ohio, his daughter Laura (Dan) Guida of Weirton, West Virginia, and grandchildren, Danny, Megan and Ryan. Also surviving are his brothers, Gary, Robert and Tim Baker, and sisters Darlene Corbin, Candice Winston, and stepsister Sally Fuller.
A private service was held with burial at Union Cemetery.
