Rudolph DiCarlo Obituary

Rudolph V. “Rudy” DiCarlo, 97, of Steubenville died Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Valley Hospice. He was born January 23, 1927 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Dominic and Dora Oliveto DiCarlo. He is also preceded in death by his wife Ruth Conn DiCarlo; son David DiCarlo; brother Evo DiCarlo and sister Mary Bozsik.

Rudy was the owner and operator of the former D. DiCarlo’s Bread in Steubenville for many years. He was also a member of the Polish Athletic Club, American Legion Post 33, Jefferson County Sportsman Association and was an avid fisherman and reader. Rudy also served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Surviving are son John DiCarlo of NJ; daughter Cynthia Harda of Steubenville; sister Jean (Ray) Dalfonso of Wintersville; two grandchildren Nicholas (Heather) Harda, Tyler DiCarlo and great granddaughter Gabriella.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
