Samuel J. Silvidi

Samuel J. Silvidi, 70, of Wheeling died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born April 29, 1951 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Samuel and Mary Fuoco Silvidi.

He was retired from Weirton Steel where he was a metallurgist for many years. He enjoyed all sports but especially Notre Dame, the Pittsburgh Penguins and  Pirates.  He also had an extensive baseball card and record collection.  

  Surviving are one daughter Renee Silvidi of Wintersville; one brother Alfred (Sandy) Silvidi of Kent, OH; two sisters Mary Frances (Steve) Hamrock of Pittsburgh and Angela Silvildi of Hopedale. Long time friend and companion, Patti Hertig. Also many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3 pm until time of services at 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will take place at a later date.
