Stephen J. Drutar, 90, of Wintersville passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, peacefully at his home. He was born January 26, 1932 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Violet and John Drutar. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Delia (Galloway), his loving son, Rick Drutar, an infant sister, Betty Drutar, and a brother, William Drutar.
Stephen proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Timet after many years of service. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church,were he actively volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a man of great faith and attended morning mass at Blessed Sacrament daily. He loved spending his days in his wood shop; cutting the neighborhoods grass, planting his tomatoes and flowers,and watching Notre Dame, going on his many rides and spending time with his family who lovingly referred to him as ‘Pop’.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Hardman of Wintersville, granddaughters, Jesse Hammer, of Toronto, and Ann (Tyler) Lynskey, of Bloomingdale, and great-grandsons, Jackson Hammer, Ty and Jace Lynskey. Friends will be received Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 10 am until time of mass at noon, Fr. Michael Gossett, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
