Stephen J. Gombar

Stephen J. Gombar, 70, of Steubenville died Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Trinity West Hospital. He was born December 7, 1950 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Stephen Gombar and Virginia Ritchie Krzywdik. Also preceding him in death are his wife Ruth Gombar; brothers George, Michael Gombar and Thomas Krzywdik.

Stephen was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked in the blast furnace for many years. He was also a graduate of Steubenville High School Class of 1969.

Surviving are two daughters Shellie (Thomas) Rogers of Mingo Jct. And Dawn Gombar of Steubenville; three sisters Mary Ann (Dave) ManCano, Anna Leasure and Lillian Wilson; grandchildren Michael (Taylor Elliot) Gault, Deshea Pendergrast, Jazmin Pendergrast, Ciara Rogers, Kyley Rogers and Arianna Rogers.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pastor Rick Dawson will officiate.
