Theodora “Teddie” Anna Chakalis (1943 – 2021)

At age 77, died peacefully at the Laurels of Steubenville on Friday, January 15, 2021. Teddie was born Dec. 8, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thomas and Anna (Zadravec) Chakalis. She spent her adult life in South Euclid, Ohio. Also preceding her in death is one sister Joanne (Chakalis) Pavlakos.

Theodora was a lifelong member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland and later attended Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville.

Surviving are one son Gregory (Maria) Matzorkis of Steubenville; two brothers Andrew (Faith) Chakalis of Cleveland Heights and Arthur (Diane) Chakalis of Columbus; brother-in-law Constantine Pavlakos; two grandchildren Vasile and Andrew; and three nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until time of services at 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
