Thomas M. Clemens Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 3rd, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on August 29, 1942, in Canton, Ohio, he embarked on his next great adventure surrounded by the love of his family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Imogene Clemens, his two sons, Thomas Clemens the 3rd and Brian Clemens, as well as his grandsons, Jason Louive and Zachary Haas. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived in life by his devoted wife of 47 years, Cecelia (Cissy) Clemens, and an expansive family that includes 8 children, several grandchildren, and even a few great-grandchildren. Tom was best known as one of the proud owners of C&T Rotor Rooter in Steubenville, a business he poured his heart and soul into for 36 years. He tackled plumbing problems with a determination and humor that earned him the nickname "The Rotor Rooter King" In addition to his work, Tom had a zest for life that was truly contagious.
He and Cissy were known for tearing up the dance floor with their jitterbug moves, leaving everyone else in awe of their graceful steps and undeniable chemistry. Tom was also a force to be reckoned with on the bowling alley and softball field, where his competitive spirit and brazen banter made every game an event to remember. Tom had a gift for bringing people together, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than a lively card game with friends, where laughter flowed as freely as the cards. His quick wit and infectious laughter could brighten even the cloudiest of days. While Tom may have left this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew him. His legacy is not one of sorrow but of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Rest easy, Tom, and may your dances in the great beyond be as legendary as those you shared with us on Earth. We'll miss you always, but your spirit will forever be the life of the party.
There will be no public services as Tom's wishes were to only be surrounded by family and friends.
