Thomas "Toots" Mieczkowski

Thomas “Toots” Mieczkowski, 86, of Wintersville died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in Steubenville surrounded by his family. He is the son of the late Anthony and Bernice Zygmuntowski Mieczkowski. He is also preceded in death by his brother Anthony “Ziggy” Mieczkowski; brother Frankie Mieczkowski; and his best buddy and son Robert “Bobby” Mieczkowski.

Toots was a fervent athlete, graduate of CCHS, avid fisherman, and successful businessman. He was a constant jokester with a competitive spirit and larger than life personality. Toots was a strong pillar of his community who loved his family fiercely. He will be deeply missed.

Surviving him are his loving and devoted wife Janet “Blondie” Harvilak Mieczkowski; daughter Cynthia Tate; daughter-in-law Alice Janeshek Mieczkowski; brother Henry Mieczkowski; sister Irene (Donald) Yoho; grandchildren Danielle Tate and Bryan (Courtnie) Tate; and great grandchildren Wade and Kahlan Tate.

Toots’ body has been donated to further scientific research and no services will be held at this time.
