Timothy J. Kakascik

Timothy Joseph Kakascik known to friends as “Tim” or “Timmy” of Wintersville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic at the age of 72.

 Born April 11, 1947, Tim was the son of the late Joseph and Sophia (Adyniec) Kakascik.  In addition to his parents, Tim was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Kelly and brother-in-law, William Kelly.

Tim will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his daughter, Lori, son-in-law, Matthew Trikones, and three grandchildren, Marina, Ty, and Kristofer Trikones, all of Knoxville, TN, his brother Fred (Sharon) Kakascik of Irmo SC, two nieces, a nephew, multiple cousins and many dear friends.

Tim graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 1965.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and worked at the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel BOF Caster for 40 years.

Tim enjoyed dancing, traveling, camping, bicycling, Whizzer Motorbikes, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was always working on a project and was always there to help a friend.

A Celebration of Tim’s life will be announced by the family at a later date.  Interment will take place privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
