Victor “Vic” Corsi Sr., a lifelong resident of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2020, at the age of 86. Vic was born July 15, 1934. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and later served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. He worked for A&P in Toronto and for Wheeling-Pitt Steel. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Steubenville, where he served as an usher. Vic was an ardent supporter and die-hard fan of the Steubenville Big Red. He was President of the Boosters on and off for 24 years, and when he wasn’t President, he was often holding other office roles. Vic wasn’t just a typical fan. He supported the Big Red program in so many ways from providing dinners to the players to organizing bus trips for away games, and he could always be found selling 50/50 or game ball tickets prior to all the games. He usually knew all the players and enjoyed hearing of their accomplishments after their high school careers. Vic and his late wife, LeeAnn, treated every Big Red kid as part of their family. Being part of the Big Red Nation was in Vic’s lifeblood and was something that kept him active in his later years of life. Vic is survived by his children, Cathy (Craig) Sweeney of Zanesville, Victor “JR” (Kim) Corsi, Jr., of Rhode Island, Michael (Carmen) Corsi, of Virginia; grandchildren, Brad (Lashley) Hess, Eric (Erica Lowe) Hess, Shane Corsi, Tyler Corsi, Dylan Corsi, Giada Corsi, and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Edith Rice, Antoinette “Cookie” (Joe) Gibbons, James “Jimmy” (Joann) Corsi, Margaret “Margie” (Ed) Zamana; and many nieces and nephews.
