Vincent J. Lopresto

Vincent J. Lopresto, 90, of Steubenville died Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Steubenville. He was born May 31, 1931 in Gioiosa, Reggio Calabria, Italy. He is the son of the late Nicola and Caterina Coluccio Lopresto.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged with three Bronze Stars, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He also served as a City of Steubenville councilman in the 1970’s.

He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation after 42 years, and afterward, owned and managed Enzo’s Fine Foods in Steubenville for 25 years.

Surviving are son James (Nancy) Lopresto and daughter, Lisa (Mike) Moran, grandsons Philip (Ashley) Lopresto and Myles Moran; granddaughters Gina Lopresto, Nicole (Travis) Arnold, and Maggie Moran; great grandchildren Nicholas, Emily, and Allison Lopresto.  

Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.  A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at Holy Family Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
