Walter Williams Obituary

Walter F. Williams, 86, of Rostraver Twp., formerly of Steubenville, died Tuesday, October 27, at the Dunlevy Manor, Dunlevy, PA. He was born November 20, 1933 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Elra and Helen Stock Williams. Also preceding him in death are his wife Shirley; daughter Mary Jo Williams; two brothers Robert and David Williams; three sisters Alda McElroy, Marjorie McElroy, Harriet Swartz and an infant sister Roberta.   

Walter was retired from the Ohio Power Company where he was a divisional line supervisor. He was Methodist by faith, a member of the American Legion Post 33 and was an avid golfer. Walter also loved to watch the Browns, Steelers and Ohio State football. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are one son Joseph (Laura) Williams of Rostraver Twp., PA; one daughter Kathy (Robert “Beets”) Treglia of Steubenville; best friend Ben Diequez; eight grandchildren Lindsay, Joey, Jami, Mia, Krisi, Seth, Billy, Matthew and five great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
