Obituary

William “Bill” J. Bennett, 74, of Wintersville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home. He was born December 8, 1948 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph and Anna Yenchochic Bennett. He is also preceded in death by one brother Edward Bennett.

Bill was a retired Truck Driver which he did for many years. He liked to tinker and work on projects in his garage, loved to be a Papa to Austin and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Surviving are his wife Maria Cesta Bennett, whom he married August 10, 1987; step-daughters Lianne Wilson and her husband Robert of Rockhill, SC and Kristin Busse and her husband John of Chicago; brothers Ronald Bennett and his wife Pattie of Steubenville and Christopher Bennett and his wife Kimberly of Lancaster, OH; sister Cheryl Bennett of Reno, NV; one grandson Austin Wilson; many nieces and nephews and his favorite companion Rolo.

Private services will be held at a later date and interment will be in the St. Elizabeth Columbarium of Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
