William R. DeFallo “Bill”, 96, passed away at home in Steubenville, on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born on September 14, 1925, son of the late Pasquale and Filomena (Lancia) DeFallo. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Mamie Ippoliti, Geno, James and Albert DeFallo.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mae (Papandrea) DeFallo; 5 children, Diane DeFallo (Jason Bodak), Michael (Valeri) DeFallo, Jeanne (Chris) Florentine, Thomas (Lori) DeFallo, David (Dawn) DeFallo; five grandchildren: Dan (Brittany) DeFallo, Gina (Tyler) Bresnahan, Angela (Steve) Florentine-Taylor, Joseph DeFallo, Anthony DeFallo and many nieces and nephews.
Bill loved to golf up until the age of 90, listening to Big Band music and enjoyed spending time with his family especially Sunday pasta dinners. He was a Veteran of WWII. He worked as a salesman throughout his career and retired in 1988 from WTOV-9. He was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church and current Triumph of the Cross Parish. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Calling hours will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
