William A. Serafini

William A. Serafini, Sr., 91, of Steubenville died Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Valley Hospice. He was born February 15, 1926 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Carmine and Carmella Ginnetti Serafini. William is also preceded in death by his wife Flora DeSantis Serafini on January 26, 2017, his brothers, Oreste and an infant Gugliemo, and a sister, Pia Antonucci. 

William was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church, and its Men's Club, now Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church. He was retired as a captain from the Steubenville Fire Department, and from J.C. Penney's.

William was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of the Steubenville Alumni Club of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity.   

Surviving are his son, William A. Serafini, Jr. and his daughter, Sharon (Michael) Dichazi both of Steubenville; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Glasbrenner and Michael Dichazi; two great grandchildren, Reagan and Olivia Glasbrenner.

Calling hours are Sunday 1-4 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Thomas Nau, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a vigil service Sunday at 3:30 pm
