Craig W. Petrella, 60, of Steubenville, died Tuesday June 7, 2016, at Trinity West. 
He was born August 20, 1955 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late William and Jennie Darios Petrella.     Also preceding him in death are two sisters, Hiedi Bett and Beverly Hartlage. 
Surviving are his wife, Anita Lyn Kaufmann Petrella, whom he married June 3, 1978; three sons, Jay (Megan), Billy (Nikki) and Michael (Emily Canella) all of Steubenville; granddaughter, Aliya and soon to be grandson, Jameson. 
Craig had lost his father "Bill" at age 11 and had a very modest life even quitting  high school sports to work a part time job and for the school to help his mom offset the cost of tuition and pay monthly bills. He always insisted that his kids to receive a Catholic education and was a proud Crusader. After high school Craig went on to become the first Petrella to graduate college, earning a triple major from the College of Steubenville in Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance.
He recently celebrated 38 years of marriage to his wife and business partner of 39 years Anita. 
Although he enjoyed his years as a civil servant and remained close to his postal family at age 56 Craig retired as the Post Master of Mingo Junction, and achieved his lifelong goal of not having to punch a time clock or work for anyone else.
Craig started young investing in real estate through Petrella Rentals, and selling real estate as a local realtor, and had many ventures from D and P coal Company to P and P enterprises, Petrella’s Dairy Queen and Mingo Munchies.
He was the coach of dozens of local youth from SKYSL soccer to Steubenville T-ball through little league and babe Ruth. He coached basketball for JCYBL and was the president of the Holy Rosary Boosters association for many years. As a coach and in life Craig lived by a slogan which has become infamous with former players, "Win, Lose, or Draw we do it as a team, we are out here to have fun and to learn".
Craig loved traveling domestically and the world. He had many great experiences like meeting the Pope when visiting Billy in Italy, taking a four month voyage around the world for a Semester at Sea with son Michael, and going to his favorite place in the world with his family Hawaii.
As a serial entrepreneur Craig enjoyed every moment working with his three sons in their businesses which include; Petrella Enterprises, Gaslite Steak House, Choice Vending Services, Village Sleep Center, Petrella Wealth Management LLC and Economy Lawn Care.
He was a 3rd degree knight with Mingo K of C, a member of the Italian American Cultural Club, former member of the Columbus Club, Steubenville Board of Realtors, The Jefferson County Landlord Association and a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish.
Later in life Craig helped many in monetary ways but also in small ways by giving friends or acquaintances a ride to work, money to get groceries, or by installing a new hot water tank. 
Craig enjoyed numerous weekends enjoying his family lake house with close friends and loved ones. 
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Friday at 3:45 p.m.
