Doris "Ruth" Sterling

Doris "Ruth" Sterling, 91, of Steubenville, died  Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the Bolger Country Club Manor.
She was born April 5, 1925, in Adena. She is the daughter of the late Gerald and Irene Hendershot Chamberlain.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sterling; three sisters, Helen Martinelli, Emma Wilson and Hilda Muchensky.
Doris was a member of the American Legion Argonne Post 33 womenás auxiliary, where she was also past president and a  lifetime member and the Red Hat Society.  
Surviving are three sons, Lee (Tarrie) of Steubenville, Jeff of AL and Troy (Nannette) of Steubenville; one daughter, Pam Vudrogovic of Steubenville; one sister, Geraldine Albaugh of FL; six grandchildren and six great-grandchild.
No public services will be held and burial will be private at Union Cemetery.
