Theresa Canella

Theresa F. Canella, 83, of Steubenville died Tuesday November 22, 2016 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born April 27, 1933 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Jacob and Stella Borkowski Wisneiski. Also preceding her in death are her husband John Canella; son Chris Canella; sisters Genevieve Bailey and Elizabeth Barker. Theresa was the Owner and Operator of the former Canella Produce. She was also a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons Carey (Mary Jo) of AZ and Mark (Brenda) of Hopedale; one daughter Mary Canella of Steubenville; four brothers Walter (Patricia) Wisneiski of VA, John "Vish" (Libby) Wisneiski of Steubenville, Frank (Carol) Wisneiski of Wintersville and Stanley Wisneiski of NH; one sister Rose (Larry) Coliacovo of Wintersvillle; ten grandchildren Carlo, Tony, Angelo, John, Anthony, Adam, Miranda, Dominique, Natasha and Emily; twelve great grandchildren and daughter in law Cathy (Jerry) Checkler of Steubenville. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fr. Tim Huffman will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
